Samaritans Purse Hurricane Ian Relief

Dear Friends, Our prayers continue to be with our fellow Floridians affected by Hurricane Ian this week.
While we are sure many of us will provide hands-on aide to our neighbors in the coming weeks, the best way to help today is through a donation to organizations providing immediate shelter and relief, like the Samaritan’s Purse. Please join us in contributing by making a donation at the “Donate Here” button below.

Latest Hurricane Ian Update from the Samaritan’s Purse

After Hurricane Ian slammed into Florida, battering the Peninsula with catastrophic storm surge, winds and flooding, hurricane-force winds are expected to spread inland to central Florida near the core of Ian this morning. Heavy rainfall will continue to spread flooding. More than 2.5 million customers in Florida are currently without power.

The Samaritan’s Purse and partners opened hundreds of evacuation shelters, where tens of thousands of people spent Wednesday night. Our top priority is providing comfort and support to Floridians as they face this historic storm and the challenges and uncertainties it brings with it. This is a massive response and one organization cannot do this alone. We are working closely with our partners and local officials to ensure help is available when and where people need it most. We are also preparing up the coast, in Georgia and the Carolinas in particular. Just last night, nearly two dozen people spent the night in Red Cross shelters in Georgia. That number is expected to increase as the storm moves north. The Samaritan’s Purse will be there, wherever the storm moves, providing shelter, food and comfort to impacted communities.
